How are you staying on trend this Summer? I am wearing lots of tassels and off the shoulder or cold shoulder numbers! These two trends are so easy to replicate. Tassels are everywhere: from earrings and necklaces to handbags and shoes. I have worn these neckalces with a tee and shorts which totally changed my go-to looks!

One of the biggest reasons I love the off the shoulder or the cold shoulder trend is that it is a style that everyone can wear. The off the shoulder still provides a lot of movement without feeling like you have to be careful about your dress. The cold shoulder option is great because it can bring a more casual look to an outfit and comfort when carrying kiddos around. I have tested this theory persoanly while carrying my neice Nora!

You can shop these trends easily at the Westfield UTC mall in La Jolla! These stores have an amazing selection of off the shoulder and cold shoulder pieces as well as tassle jewelry and accessories: Forever 21, Nordstrom, GAP, Zara, Hollister, Macy’s, and Free People!

One of my favorite little places in the mall to be refreshed is Sloan’s Ice Cream. I mean, can you not get over how cute this place is?! There is a black and white striped banner outside where the little chairs and tables sit underneath. I am obsessed with their vanilla frozen yogurt, it’s the perfect little treat on a hot summer day.
Westfield UTC also has free Wifi throughout their mall. For me, it’s amazing to be able to keep up with work while shopping. I know for all you mama’s with littles, letting them play their games without having to worry about your data allows you to shop in peace!
My other favorite little Summer snack at the mall is Bottega Italiana Gelato. The owner actually moved here from Italy and brought his family recipe with him.

This is the most AMAZING gelato I have had since I visited Italy. It took me back to the cobblestone streets with the amount of creamy flavor packed in. The Nutella and Pear are two of my personal favorites! PS they serve Illy coffee as well, please have a cappuccino and see what all the hype is about. You won’t be sorry.
There is also a movie theater at Westfield UTC, it’s called ArcLight. I had no idea it was here until I found Italiana Gelato, it’s right around the corner from there. What could be better after shopping in the warm summer sun, then to watch a movie in air conditioning to cool off? Sounds like the perfect day to me.

Have fun discovering all the fun places at Westfield UTC this Summer! Let me know what you think of the sweet treats and any trends you try!
