Easter and Spring Dress Idea | Part Three | Lace

Spring and Easter Dress Idea!

The final look is my favorite by far. Lace is always a good idea and you can never go wrong with the perfect trench coat accessory for Spring.

Spring dress idea and the best trench coat you need in your closet.

DRESS | TRENCH (back in stock and on sale!)| BOOTS | NECKLACE | LIPS (Snob)

These are great options to wear for Easter or this Spring instead of the Hunter boots!

Happy Easter everyone! Jason and I haven’t been in the area for easter since we have been married. I love this day for so many reasons: the top is recognizing the impactful sacrifice that Jesus went through on the cross. Yes, this is the reason we celebrate Easter not because of the Easter bunny, although I do love the candy!

The next important reason I love this day is that each year, my entire family(on my mom’s side) get together for Easter lunch and a massive Easter egg hunt. Some of my most favorite family memories were spent on Easter.

This year has been difficult on our family, watching my grandparents slowly fade in their abilities to function completely mentally and physically. Age is such a cruel thing when you watch the people that you treasure so deeply, slowly become less of who you remember them being and more fragile in nature.

My grandpa has been suffering from dementia the last couple years. This was one of the hardest things for me to watch while living in SoCal. I tried to give myself space from it because it was too hard to try and grasp the reality when I was so far away. Now that I am back in Oregon, he has become so fragile, he cannot leave his home for anything other than the doctor. This day reminds me of the times he would run around with us as we gathered eggs in our baskets, when he would steal the chocolate from our pile of candy as we emptied our eggs, or the times he would empty his coin pouch to be sure all of his 10 grandkids took home coins.

Today we celebrate the sacrifice Jesus acted out for us on the cross. I am so much more thankful for this sacrifice this year as I see the years taking a toll on the ones I love. I know that one day they will be without pain and walking with the Lord. When it’s their time to leave me, it’s not forever, it’s just for the time being until I get to walk with them in the presence of the Lord. This is all because of Him.

Treasure the time with the ones you love.
