Spring Style Summer Style Tips and Tricks

Dressing Room Diaries | Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Come join in my dressing room for the real life look of my favorite items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Seeing the items on a real person vs a model online makes all the difference! Sharing the good and the bad.

SHOPPING OUTFIT
TOP old | JEANS (new FAV!) | HEELS | WATCH | NADRI | CHAIN | LIPS (Snob)

I love shopping online but there is something about seeing pieces on an actual person vs. a model, as well as different lighting and real opinions on fit/texture REALLY HELPS! These are the real deal photos from inside my dressing room on the items I was really curious about. Some of them surprised me! I loved some I thought I wouldn’t, I was let down by some I thought I would love!

Here’s the honest truth about 2017 NSALE

Bow Top: I loved this bow top online but after trying it on, it was a little short on my torso and I have a short torso and long legs. This is worn with high waisted denim. I am wearing a MEDIUM. It would be perfect with a skirt, high waisted denim or dress pants! $31.90

Grey Ruffle Tank Top: This shocked me! I didn’t like it online but in person, it was too cute! It comes in pink as well. It’s perfect for Spring and Summer, not as much for Fall though. Wearing a MEDIUM. $22.90

Flutter Sleeve Blouse: I didn’t see this online, in person, I HAD to try it on. The texture was lightweight perfect for the warmer months and for layering. Wearing a LARGE for length and flowy! $22.90

THE BEST T-SHIRT: I did NOT like this shirt online, thought it would be too low on me. I don’t like showing cleavage. Also, I wasn’t sure how the rough edges looked, cautious of looking too undone. This top comes in so many colors, my favorite is the white, pink, and grey. Wearing a SMALL. $15.90 WORTH IT.

THE BEST LONG SLEEVE SHIRT: Another one I wasn’t sure how I would like it so I had to try it on in person. The material is SO soft. It wasn’t too low but I will be wearing a cami underneath it. This came in so many colors, my favorites are the stripes (grey and white, white and black) and the green.
Wearing a SMALL. $18.90

Staple Sweater: I didn’t see this one online, it is so much better in person. The material is insanely soft but not a texture that will ball up. This one will definitely hold up! The color is a soft oatmeal but it comes in 5 other colors. It is longer in the back which is perfect for leggings in the Fall and Winter.
Wearing a MEDIUM. $29.90

Ribbed Sweater: This was a disappointing one for me, it’s a little too low when wearing a medium but too short for me wearing a small. I LOVED the texture, it was so soft. Nice and flowy too. If you don’t mind a little cleavage or your breast line is shorter than mine is, it would be amazing! Wearing SMALL $24.90

Bold Sleeve Sweater: I loved this one. So soft and so flattering. The color was a dark oatmeal which is a great staple! It’s a little on the pricier budget friendly side but I had to share since it fit so well!
Wearing MEDIUM $39.90

Duster: I actually was disappointed in this one, I thought I would be in love with it! It is a much more ribbed texture then I thought it would be which tends to stretch out which is not my favorite. The XS was perfect in length on the sleeves and length on my legs but the SMALL fit better in the back and the arms. It’s a great deal so I am unsure about this one. Comes in lots of colors. Pic: wearing XS $31.90

Cashmere VEST: This is AMAZING except for the price. The only thing that is NOT budget friendly but I was in love so I had to share. The possibilities with this one are endless. I love it being casual like this, or with shorts, a skirt and blouse, trousers for work! It’s the softest material because, well, cashmere.
Wearing ONE SIZE $98.90

BEAUTY & SHOES

I didn’t try on any of the shoes, I was struggling with a migraine and needed to get out of those lights as fast as possible. I perused the rest of the store and snapped some pictures! Be on the look out in a few weeks to see what I actually bought.
