3 Tips for Including Neutrals in your Closet.
I am all about neutrals. I realized about a year ago that I had neglected buying neutral pieces for my wardrobe. They are the easiest way to inexpensively expand your wardrobe. I made a quick list of the items I always grabbed for and kept my eye out for good deals on them. My go to pieces are: white denim, black denim, chambray button up, tan hat, white blouses, brown booties, black wedges, brown wedges, and good old fashioned simple tees in your basic colors. 3 Tips for Including Neutrals in your Closet:Monochromatic: don't be afraid of layering different shades of brown, white, or blue in one outfit. Multiples: If you love it and it fits great, buy 3! I loved these jeans and so I bought the distressed version here and the non-distressed version. I have done this with my black jeans as well. This is an easy way to build your foundation without a lot of hassle.Make a List: Look through your closet and figure out the pieces missing. Make a list on your phone and be on the constant lookout for those pieces. Once I bought my white denim, I was able to wear all my Fall and Winter looks for the Spring and Summer. I achieved this with just buying two pairs of jeans....jackpot! My neutral loving heart became obsessed with this layering leaves basic top from Evy's Tree. I have worn it 3 times already, no shame...no shame. The camel color is one of my favorite trends right now. As you can see, I wear it all the time in one form or another. I have this top as a single layer right now because it's still warm but in the Fall I will be layering it with my favorite vests and under chunky knit sweaters! PS it's reversible. It's Navy on the other side. Navy is another neutral that I am obsessed with.
