JACKET | SWEATER c/o | JEANS | BOOTS | HANDBAG | EARRINGS | LIPS (Snob)

I have always loved a cute and chic camo piece! I LOVED this cheetah print jacket but it's no longer available. I bought this one particularly because my hubby was in the Marine Corps for 5 years and saw enough camo during the day, he didn't need to come home and see me in it too. Now I wear camo since he is out. The trick, how do you wear it without looking like you're enlisted in the military?

Layering it with feminine pieces is a huge way of softening the look. This can be with a pink lip or fun earrings like I have it here! I love to layer camo with lace and pink to make it a little bit of a softer touch.

Hairstyles can make it or break it for an outfit. When I wear camo, I try and not wear a bun. This comes from living on a military base and always seeing clean cut buns with camo. I try and wear my hair down or in a cute ponytail. Even a cute boho braid!

Bright or fresh accessories can help as well! I wore my white pants to make a fresh statement with the camo. I tied in the white with my handbag and earrings as well. It creates a balance, especially if you are layering a darker color under the camo.

In the Winter, I will also layer a camo jacket over an all black look. Such as black skinny jeans and a black feminine blouse. Then I will add a pop of color on my lips like a red or a plum!

Dresses and skirts are also a great way to wear camo without overpowering you. A cute midi pleated skirt or a fun lace dress are great options! I would wear a pair of pumps or booties with either outfit.

I hope this gives you ideas when you reach for a camo piece at a store or your closet!
