Personal Microdermabrasion | PMD is it worth it?

Thank you Primp Network for sponsoring this post and giving me the opportunity to have better skin with Personal Microdermabrasion!

All I want for Christmas is clear and smooth skin! I am so excited to see my skin be transformed with personal microdermabrasion.

Getting really personal here, these are my no filter BEFORE using the personal microdermabrasion pictures. The last one is of me wearing makeup with my BEFORE skin.[symple_column size="one-half" position="first" fade_in="false"][/symple_column][symple_column size="one-half" position="last" fade_in="false"][/symple_column] [symple_column size="one-half" position="first" fade_in="false"][/symple_column][symple_column size="one-half" position="last" fade_in="false"][/symple_column]I have the Classic PMD: Classic is a one-speed device. It uses a vacuum suction and disc combo to brighten, smooth, and even skin tone/texture.What I am the most excited to see in my skin from using the PMD is my texture. My acne has reeked havoc on my skin texture and it's rather embarrassing if you get close to me. Pictures do not do this justice. I have used so many products to try and change the texture of my skin and cannot find anything to work. The personal microdermabrasion has been developed to solve this exact problem. The vacuum suction also stimulates your skin's collagen which makes your skin smoother and more youthful looking. Um, sign me up!Another benefit I am looking forward to is the fact that using the PMD helps to take off the dead skin cells to allow your skin care products to actually absorb and take effect. I invest in my skin care products so the thought that I haven't been reaping the most benefits from them is enough motivation to keep using the personal microdermabrasion.Sooooo how does it work??The caps unscrew to allow you to change the disks. There are two different types of discs: one for your face and one for your body. The larger one is used for your body to help with stretch marks and cellulite. The smaller one is for your face as your facial skin is much more delicate. The power cord needs to be plugged in for the device to turn on but it didn't look cute in my pictures ;)There is a white plastic disk that you are to use to practice. The key is to move quickly as to avoid irritation. PMD advises two different ways to incorporate this into your skincare routine. Full Process

1. Cleanse and dry skin thoroughly
2. Using the white disc, practice on arm or leg before using on face
3. Pull skin tight to help device to smoothly glide over skin
 4. Move the device quickly across skin in an upward motion
 5. Following treatment apply toner and moisturizer
 6. Wash the cap and filter after each use
For a quicker treatment without the full exfoliation.

3-minute treatment:

  1. Start with white training disc
  2. Glide quickly along skin
  3. Do not apply pressure
  4. Do not stop or remain in one area
  5. Only one pass per area

UPDATED RESULTSWhen I have good lighting, I will uploaded my AFTER photos of my skin. The results are astounding after 4 weeks of using the PMD. I am shocked at the texture change in my skin, the absorption that my skin has for the products I am using, and the diminishing of my acne scarring! This is a permanent piece of my skin care routine now.I was cautious at first, afraid it would disrupt my skin and make things worse. I couldn't have been more wrong. Not only has it helped my skin but I can see it changing in ways I never thought it would. This device is an investment but one professional spa treatment is about the same price as this device. It's an incredible deal!

I have used it once a week and am hoping for some great results. You know me, I will be 100% honest. Stay tuned for my AFTER photos and results soon!

** Anyone using chemical peels or products containing acids including hydroxy acids, malic acid, lactic acid AND/OR  retinoids or Retin A ingredients, must not use the Personal Microderm at the same time! This may cause the skin to be too sensitive and use of the Personal Microderm is not recommended. Before it is safe to use the Personal Microderm, you must discontinue use of these products for at least seven days. Consult your doctor or dermatologist if you are unsure that the Personal Microderm is suitable for your skin.
