Why buy Sorel Boots IF you don’t live in the snow.

Walking in a blanket of snow with a fur lined burgundy peacoat.

I have two pairs of Sorel Boots and I DON’T live in the snow. I have had them for more than 2 years. I am sharing IF they are worth their money if you don’t live in the snow.

Two years ago I invested in my first pair of Sorel Boots. I had never owned a pair of snow boots since I lived in an area of the PNW that rarely had snow. Jason and I spent two weeks in Montana with our family and I wore them every day of the trip!

Fast forward to this Winter after Jason I moved back from So Cal. I have worn my Sorel boots ALL WINTER LONG. We have received so much snow in my area this year along with freezing temps and ice. I naturally grab my Sorel Boots because of the traction, warmth, and comfort. I wear them so much, in fact, I bought a second pair in a different color tone for versatility.

If my area doesn’t have snow all winter long, you may be asking why I invested in not one but two pairs of these Boots? Let me count the ways for you.

They are warm! Even when there isn’t snow on the ground, cold temperatures are hard on your feet. These boots keep my feet and legs warm on walks in evenings or running around town.

The comfort level is beyond ridiculous. These are the most comfortable boots I own, hands down. They support my arches and provide so much stability for my sports injured ankles. Long walks or hikes, this is a vital piece for me.

They provide amazing traction. When there is ice or snow out, having traction is 100% important. Both of my boots have amazing traction. THIS pair has slightly more traction then THIS pair but both are amazing. When you are walking in cold temps without ice, the ground can still be slick so these are perfect.

Waterproof, I repeat waterproof. When I don’t want to wear my Hunter Boots (although I LOVE them, find out why HERE), I grab these because they protect me from the moisture.

Timeless. The styles of these boots range from super trendy to classic. I have chosen to invest in super classic styles because I know I will be wearing them for years to come. They will LAST far longer than your average boot. I like to invest in a classic style when I know they will last a long time.

Snow Appropriate. These boots are by far the BEST boots I have ever worn in the snow. They keep the snow from falling into your boot as you walk in deep snow, keep the moisture out and the warmth in, fit inside snow pants, durable for snow shoes, comfortable for long walks in the snow, etc. As you can see in these pictures, I am standing in a couple feet of snow at the Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, MT. The snow was not falling into my boots from the top or seeping into the bottoms. SCORE!

If you live in the snow, then these boots need to be in your closet. Whether you visit the snow through the winter, have then occasional snow fall, or have cold temperatures in the winter, these boots need to be in your closet. I am listing my favorites below which also all happen to be on sale!

Spring is not only the time to wear all tones of pink and patterns of florals, but also green! I have always loved green as a different color to wear. I can’t wear pink ALL the time. Pops of green are a great way to brighten up your look without overpowering yourself with bold colors.

This Macy sweatshirt in Fern is the PERFECT piece for Spring. It’s super soft in texture and can easily be layered with for the transition of seasons. I love layering this green piece under my white coat and with my white jeans for staying warm but still having a bright outfit.

I wore this at our stay at the Grouse Mountain Lodge. Everyone in Whitefish is talking about Spring being on its way so it felt perfect to wear this even with the snow on the ground. Jason and I walked behind the hotel and watched the cross-country skiers on their track. It was so cool! They were skiing on the golf course. I was nice and warm with this layered look! The green felt like I could fit in with the bright colored ski suits.

The Macy sweatshirt is on pre-order now, you will not be disappointed with this one!

While Jason and I have been visiting our family in Montana, we took an excursion to Grouse Mountain Lodge for Valentine’s Day. This lodge was beyond majestic covered in a thick blanket of snow. The lodge happened to brew our favorite coffee here in Montana, Montana Coffee Traders. We couldn’t help but grab a white mocha and enjoy the snow outside.

I will have a full review of our stay at the lodge will be up soon!

Onto the style tip I have for looking CUTE and Cozy when it’s cold…layer. You have to layer in the Winter otherwise, you will freeze. When we were planning our trip to Montana, I knew I had to pack lots of pieces that could layer together. Wearing a long sleeve top, like THIS one I have on, layered under a cozy cardigan will give you a comfortable warm look under your jacket. When you go in and out of shops, you tend to take your jacket off or have it unzipped. Layering cute tops and cardigans gives you a look under your jacket that is equally CUTE and COZY.
