100 envelope savings challenge
This year I am challenging myself to save cash for 50 weeks in the 100 envelope savings challenge. I have seen this done for so many years and I am finally going to do it! I have been wanting to save up for a Chanel Double Flap handbag and this is my year to do it. Each each I will be saving cash into 2 envelopes, at the end of the year I will have saved $5,050. This isn't all i need for the handbag I want but it is enough to add a little extra at the end of the year for my dream handbag!

How does the 100 envelope savings challenge work?
-Label 1 - 100 on 100 envelopes.
-Place all envelopes in a box.
-Each day grab two envelopes.
-Add the amount of cash to the envelope that matches the number (i.e. 49 = $49).
-Wait until the end of the year and see all you have saved!
How am I adding this to my budget?
For the first month or two I am going to be grabbing the small numbers at the beginning of the box because I am starting a new job.
Once I am settled into my job, I will be grabbing two envelopes at random. Once I add the cash to that envelope for the week my spending budget for the week will be adjusted from that amount. So this means some weeks I will be enjoying a homemade dinner on a Saturday night vs. going out and that is OK!
Why am I saving for such a big purchase?
Because I have been dreaming of this bag my whole life and I deserve it!
