Personally THIS WORK TOTE is my favorite. I have been wearing it for about 6 months now and I am obsessed. It's canvas so it's very easy to keep clean. It's one giant open bag so I can really pack all I need to in it. The handles are very comfortable and double enforced down the whole bag. It comes in a few colors and materials, I want the leather one!

MADEWELL | This leather tote is a great multifunctional option. The straps are not as sturdy as the Marc Jacobs but this could be a good thing so you're not tempted to store more in your tote that will hurt your back. It doesn't have any pockets so be sure to have a laptop sleeve and small pouches for your contents.
TUMI | This is the next step in functionality but also investment. Tumi pieces withstand wear and tear while keeping their new look. This tote has many pockets and a laptop sleeve which is fantastic to not have to always have one on your laptop. It is a lot easier to organize this one too since it has a bunch of pockets.
SENREVE | If I had to be dressed up in the office everyday, this would be my bag! It converts to s backpack as well. The leather is incredible. Great for all weather seasons. Can be dressed up or dressed down depending on your work environment. It does have a laptop sleeve which is amazing for this bag being so compact.
