When gut healing, your food can feel less exciting than it was before. I helped myself get out of this mindset by focusing on presentation and pretty dishes. You eat with your eyes first. This is the biggest reason why I plate my food, it helps me get excited to eat!

Why is gut health so important?

Your gut is your second brain. It's what controls your hormones, mood, how well your body functions. If you are not putting your gut health first, you are probably trying to treat symptoms not the source.

When I started focusing on my gut health, I finally saw huge changes in my body. Granted, I didn't lose weight like I thought I would. Somedays I am SO bloated I look 7 months pregnant, but that is all the process of rebalancing that gut microbiome.

I also haven't done it in the best ways either. Through trial and error, I have found a lot of ways to not heal your gut just alleviate the symptoms for a time but then they come back with vengeance. The key is sustainable habits.

Part of my routine is celery juice, I talk about that on THIS post. It healed so many things in me including acne, hormonal imbalances, leaky cut, and put me in remission of my IBD.

I will be posting more about the path I am currently on but the main focus is hormonal balance which I truly feel like I am uncovering the deep root of all my issues and have the most hope for long term healing!

My diet is simple but is definitely not boring! Trust. I have so much fun with food! Get ready for all things hormone and gut health related!!!
